Charter an Instructor

As enthusiastic supporters and promoters of the RYA, we believe that everyone and anyone venturing out on the water should have the skills, knowledge and experience to ensure the safety of themselves, their watercraft, anyone on board and others on the water.

Although not an RYA Training Centre, we can provide individualised or personal instruction on request on any watercraft or on your own watercraft be that yacht or powerboat.

We offer a range of courses that can be tailored to your individual needs or watercraft however we will always, in the first instance, advise anyone seeking training to go to an RYA Centre to form a good foundation of skills and knowledge.

We personally recommend Solent Sail or Sunsail for RYA Sailing courses and PPT or SailnetUK for powerboat courses - please see the Our Colleagues page.

As an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail) as well as being a Powerboat Instructor, Gordon is available to RYA Centres to teach the RYA Sail Cruising Scheme or the RYA Powerboat Scheme and can travel anywhere in the UK and usually at quite short notice, subject to other comittments or bookings.

Charter a Skipper / RYA Cruising Instructor

If you own your own boat or wish to charter a boat but have no Skipper, then we can provide an RYA / MCA Endorsed Yachtmaster Instructor as Skipper to help develop your skills in a safe and controlled way as well as sharing with you the workload if sailing for example, with inexperienced crew.

Gordon is available to private individuals, yacht and watercraft management companies as well as Charter organisations or RYA Sailing or Powerboat Centres where you need a qualified and MCA Commercially Endorsed Skipper either to 'run the boat' or act as experienced crew to support you on board.

We can also help you to become familiar with some of the local ports and harbours on the Solent or the East Coast, show you some of the nicest anchorages as well as share with you some tips and tricks to make your time afloat safe and enjoyable and get the best from your boat.
